The Students and Families of Los Angeles are Counting on You

The Partnership manages 20 historically under-resourced public schools serving over 13,500 students in the communities of Watts, Boyle Heights, and South Los Angeles. Your donation allows us to support educators, advocate for educational equity, and empower students with a high-quality education.

Where Donations Are Going

Your donations support the Partnership’s schools, some of the highest-need K-12 campuses in Los Angeles. They help provide robust professional development programs for our teachers, parents and principals, support service days that beautify campuses, fund books in our libraries, offer scholarships for our students, purchase technology for our classrooms, and fund programs for our parents. Below, see some examples of how you can make a difference.

Funding Opportunities

Parent College

Since 2008, our Parent College program has expanded to schools beyond Los Angeles and 9,600+ families have attended a workshop. Participants attend a series of Saturday morning workshops designed to equip them to support their children so that they excel in our schools and succeed in college. Your support funds trainings, transportation, and childcare for families.

Teaching and Leading

The Partnership ensures that our students have the best leaders at their schools and the best teachers in their classrooms. Throughout the year, our principals and assistant principals receive supports to help them remove barriers at their schools, while Partnership educators participate in workshops and coaching above and beyond what the District provides, enhancing curriculum development and supporting data-driven instruction. Your support funds materials for our professional development workshops and stipends for participating teachers, maximizing their development.

Bridging the Digital Divide

In the schools and communities we support, many students do not have ready access to the technology they need to master to compete in the 21st century job market. The Partnership supports blended learning instruction that increases student achievement and prepares students for computerized testing. Your support will help provide students and teachers with these critical tools.

Arts Education

Unfortunately, tight budgets often mean that the highest-need schools see arts education cut from campuses. The Partnership is working to increase the visibility of the arts, engaging community partners and leveraging neighborhood resources so that students can experience the creative joy of arts in the classroom. Your support will help us expose more students to arts instruction, both through foundational programming across the Partnership and school-specific programs.

Student Experiences

The Partnership selects an annual cohort of future leaders known as Lundquist Fellows. These students receive scholarships and coaching to develop leadership skills while building a network of mentors. Your support will help fund scholarships and programming for our Fellows. Donations also support Experience LA! - which funds field trips that allow students to explore our city.

Literacy

Reading and writing are fundamental. Your support will help the Partnership’s literacy initiative, which helps students and their families and teachers understand students' reading levels, enabling schools to provide instruction and reading materials tied to individual proficiencies. You can help support data-driven instruction and ensure that libraries are stocked with materials that improve literacy for students at every level.
