The Melanie and Richard Lundquist Fellows Program was established in 2010, based on the Partnership’s co-founders, Richard and Melanie Lundquist, vision to help identify and support future leaders in our middle and high schools.
The five-year fellowship program seeks to further develop students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to their schools, education, and communities with an academic scholarship and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
As Lundquist Fellows, students gain exposure to college and career experiences and opportunities to serve as ambassadors for their schools, communities, and the Partnership, and recognition of their fellowship at an annual celebration.
Lundquist Fellows also receive a scholarship each year they fulfill program requirements, totaling $2,000 after completing five years of participation. Students who apply are selected in the seventh-grade school year and begin participating in the fall of the eighth-grade school year.
