CNN features Partnership students and teachers in “Class of 2020: In This Together”

On May 16, 2020, CNN featured two Partnership students, along with their most inspirational teachers, during its “Class of 2020: In This Together” segment. The students and teachers from Santee Education Complex and Roosevelt High School briefly shared success stories. Learn more about each below.

Keith Wallick is a graduating senior at Santee Education Complex. Learn how the arts and his art teacher, Mr. Carlos Vargas, helped Keith overcome challenges and get accepted to the Art Academy of Cincinnati with a scholarship. Watch Keith’s story.

Amanda Zetina is a graduating senior at Roosevelt High School. Learn about Amanda’s journey as a first-generation student and how the support from Mr. Carlos Castillo, AP Government teacher, helped her get accepted to UC Davis with a scholarship. Hear Amanda’s story.
