On Thursday, January 18, 2018, Melanie and Richard Lundquist publicly announced their renewed financial contribution of $35 million toward another decade of school transformation by the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools (Partnership). This brings their contribution total to $85 million — the second largest personal contribution to public schools in a single school district.

Also announced and released was The Secret to Sustainable School Transformation, an independent study by Public Impact, detailing the Partnership model for school transformation and its impact on 18 highest-need LA Unified schools.

The announcement was held at Santee Education Complex – one of the 18 schools in the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools’ network. Learn more about the event here.
