His expertise and commitment to educational justice will help us advance our mission to create lasting change for students and families.
- Jared DuPree: As a Professor of Secondary Mathematics and a seasoned school district leader, Dr. DuPree has dedicated his career to creating equitable pathways for academic success among Black and Brown students. His leadership and commitment to this work will strengthen our mission to empower underserved communities.

His deep connection to Los Angeles’s students and families and his commitment to fostering academic excellence make him a vital addition to our board.

We are excited to welcome her back to continue driving opportunities for students and families.
In addition, Carolyn Webb de Macías, Chief of Staff to LA Mayor Karen Bass, has stepped down as Board Co-Chair after over a decade of service as Board Chair. She will continue to serve as an active board member. Moving forward, Dan Lefler, Partner Emeritus at Irell & Manella, will serve as the sole chair of the board of directors.
The collective depth and breadth of experience our board members represent will bolster the Partnership’s efforts to drive systemic change in public education.
