Our February 2018 policy paper, “Seizing the Opportunity: Equitable School Funding in Los Angeles,” discusses a critical issue facing our education system: equitable funding for the highest needs schools. Last year, we also wrote a policy paper on this important topic. Our new paper includes our recommendations – and the input of key partners – on how to ensure that more dollars are allocated to LA Unified's highest-need schools, and to do so in a way that allows school communities to make budget decisions that reflect their unique circumstances and vision.
