The Los Angeles Rams in partnership with the Anthony Muñoz Foundation, took the NFL PLAY 60 Character Camp to Roosevelt High School on September 18. More than 300 students and principals from Hollenbeck Middle School, Roosevelt High School, and Math Science Technology Magnet Academy at Roosevelt attended the camp, which was focused on offering youth opportunities to play and experience football. LA Unified Superintendent Austin Beutner also showed his support by speaking to the children about the importance of good school attendance and physical fitness. The LA Rams cheerleaders, players and mascot, Rampage, engaged with students while promoting health and fitness.

Earlier in the month, the LA Rams also visited Figueroa Street Elementary to promote healthy eating habits and playing for 60 minutes a day. Our students were excited and happy to have Rams mascot, Rampage, visiting their school. NFL PLAY 60 is the league’s youth health and fitness campaign aimed at getting kids to be active for 60 minutes a day. See photos of the Rams at Roosevelt here and Figueroa here.
