District Transformation Powered by Data

We work with district leaders to bring clarity, alignment, and a unified approach to systemwide improvement.

Rooted in implementation science, our approach uses real district data, including classroom observations, professional development (PD) feedback, assessments, and coaching reports, to guide decisions and strengthen curriculum use.

Together, we:

  • Establish shared goals and a unified vision for districtwide instructional improvement, driven by high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) implementation
  • Co-create a research-aligned theory of action that shifts adult behaviors and beliefs
  • Use data to reflect on progress and diagnose opportunities
  • Engage in strategic problem-solving to move the work forward
  • Collaborate on districtwide professional learning design
  • Strengthen communication across the district’s central office and school sites
  • Build systems to collect and understand implementation data at scale

Highlights

LAUSD teachers are more likely than their peers in other large districts to report:

  • Using their adopted curriculum as their primary instructional tool
  • Experiencing alignment between their vision for math instruction and professional learning
  • Receiving professional learning that effectively supports their use and adaptation of HQIM

“Our meetings with the Partnership team are helpful because we get to hear more in-depth about how the work at the schools is going, and it allows us to know how to counsel the schools even better.” – LAUSD Region East Coordinator

“The agendas they create are always helpful – they keep us moving with pre-created tables and pre-selected graphs so every second of our time together is maximized.” – LAUSD Regional Math Coordinator
